MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

We can offer your organisation a course that will qualify your staff as Mental Health First Aid Officers.  Training will be undertaken at your workplace over 2 days (6 hours each day).

You will get:

  • Each participant will receive a MHFA manual
  • Each participant will be an accredited Mental Health First Aid Officer ( following online quiz completion).
  • Each participant will be issued with a certificate of accreditation valid for 3 years
  • Each participant will be eligible for refresher courses closer to the expiry of their accreditation
  • The organisation will get National recognition of their commitment to mental health issues through Mental Health First aid Australia

The organisation may be eligible for the Skilled Workplace Program

Workplaces are recognised with:

  •  An electronic Certificate of Recognition
  •  A digital badge, that can be used on your email signature or website
  •  The company logo featured on the MHFA Australia website
  •  The company being publicly recognised in the MHFA Australia Annual Report and possibly appearing across a range of our public communication channels.
  • To be recognised, workplaces must achieve both criteria: 1. The minimum percentage of staff trained within the last three years; and 2. The minimum number of Actions completed, which demonstrates the commitment to Mental Health First Aid in your workplace.  This is dependent on the number of staff the organisation has.

Approximately 20% of Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Completing an MHFA Course will help you to develop the skills to support a friend, family member or co-worker.
