Nessie transitioned to Mental Health after working in primary schools where it dawned on her that immigrant families need support and assistance to navigate their new lives in Australia. A migrant herself that has lived through war time with no immediate family here in Australia she fully understands the emotions, mental stress, cultural barriers and other psychological factors that people will experience.
Nessie is fluent in English and Arabic and can provide counselling to individuals of different age groups and backgrounds.
Nessie specialises in stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, peer relationships, self-esteem, relationship issues and domestic violence.
She is trained in Person Centred Approach, believes in being flexible and uses different modalities to suit an individual’s needs. Change is inevitable and adapting to change is achievable. Her speciality is providing an empathetic, trusting, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your life challenges creating a more fulfilling life built on a deeper understanding of different perspectives. Nessie is passionate to walk alongside you through the healing process as you gain independence and personal growth.
