CLINICIAN
PERSONAL INFORMATION

Rowan Bradley is a psychotherapist with an extensive background in the field of mental health and wellbeing, spanning both Eastern and Western modalities over 35 years including drug and alcohol addiction recovery and clinical teaching. Due to her passion to understand the mind body connection and challenges with a life-threatening illness she embraced yoga and meditation and established her own business teaching and offering holistic healing. She studied with a shamanic healer for ten years, as an experiential journey in energy medicine and a deepening connection to nature.

She completed a master’s degree in clinical psychotherapy and is trained in couple therapy and family constellation facilitation. This provided a way of identifying problematic family entanglements and the impact of intergenerational trauma. The discordant patterns involved, prevents the flow of love and connection in both family of origin and present family or relationship. Healing movements can suggest new and more conscious behaviours and the uncovering of what is lingering beneath the surface.

She incorporates her knowledge and training in her work with individuals, couples and families and has a keen interest in working with men. She initially trained as a psychiatric nurse, working in acute psychiatry, her understanding is that a different focus is needed for them to access emotional connection and purposeful fulfilment.

She has studied and practiced several modalities of yoga and breathwork which she tailors to individuals and small groups. The focus is grounding, steadying of the breath and slowing of the mind. There are benefits for increasing strength and mobility, which improves energy and focus for life. Her approach in working with people is supporting a deepening of self awareness and self understanding which improves emotional control, spiritual and psychological wellbeing.
